South Africa Hosts Huge African Aerospace Fair

Pretoria, Sept 18 (Prensa Latina) South African organizers reiterated today that the African Aerospace and Defense Fair, hosted at the Waterkloof base in Pretoria, is the most important military trade event on the continent and expects to host visitors from 28 countries.

Minister of Defense Nosiviwe Mapisa told local radio that the program of activities scheduled until next Sunday includes the exhibition of products and services at 350 stands, while it is expected to gather some 40,000 specialists and reach sales contracts valued at more than $55 million USD.

Mapisa opened the international fair today and said that the expected agreements between companies of that sector in South Africa are vital and will contribute to the success of industry and the strengthening of domestic defense.
