An idiom is a phrase or an expression that has a figurative, or sometimes literal meaning.

Categorized as formulaic language, an idiom's figurative meaning is different from the literal meaning.

Idiom have great intensity to make language interesting and dynamic.
They have a sense of mystery and fun about them.

Idiom is a language, dialect, or style of speaking peculiar to a people.

So what makes idioms difficult?
The answer is their "meaning".
Idioms are not easy to understand. Because their meaning are usually metaphorical.

But maybe we are familiar, ever hear or using some of the idioms itself.
